The Office of His Holiness announces administrative changes in the staff of the office since the passing of General Secretary) (Zhanag Dzodpa Tenzin Namgyal in June of 2005. The Second Dilyak Drupon Rinpoche has been appointed to serve as acting General Secretary. Since the Seventeenth Gyalwa Karmapa arrived in India in January 2000, Rinpoche has been at Gyuto Monastery serving the Karmapa as his primary attendant. Rinpoche also has substantial responsibilities for Dilyak Monastery in Boudhanath, Nepal and is an advisor to Nalandabodhi. As directed by His Holiness, the Late General Secretary, while hospitalized prior to his passing, appointed Rinpoche as the acting General Secretary.
