法王鄔金欽列多傑今日下午抵達倫敦中部，展開第一次在英國的弘法活動。從印度起飛後，法王歷經九個小時的飛行，最後降落在倫敦希斯洛(Heathrow)機場。出機場後，法王的座車旋即穿過倫敦西部，前往18英哩之外的下榻旅館。

正式歡迎會上賓客雲集，法王坐在中央主桌，兩側分別是企美仁波切、阿圖仁波切(Ato Rinpoche)，以及 喇嘛耶些洛薩仁波切(Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche)。這三位長老級的仁波切都是第十六世法王的弟子，自60年代起就定居英國，目前都是英國公民。

歡迎會中的貴賓還包括主辦單位負責人可洛依．羅伯茲(Chloe Roberts)、喇嘛若桑 (Lama Rabsang)、蔣揚佛學中心(Jamyang Buddhist Centre)的格西札西．次凌(Geshe Tashi Tsering)、西藏辦事處的滇津．貢噶(Tenzin Kunga)、藏人團體主席佩巴．洛桑(Pempa Lobsang)、藏人團體副主席佩巴．补夏(Pemba Bhutia)等。

His Holiness Ogyen Trinley Dorje, arrived safely in central London this afternoon on his first ever visit to the United Kingdom. His plane touched down mid-afternoon at London’s Heathrow airport at the end of a nine-hour flight from India. After an 18-mile drive across west London, the Karmapa finally arrived at his hotel.

In the official reception which followed, the Karmapa sat at the center of the head table, flanked by the three senior rinpoches resident in the UK— Chime Rinpoche, Ato Rinpoche, and Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche. All three were disciples of the 16th Karmapa, who have been resident in the UK since the 1960s and hold British citizenship.

Other guests at the special reception included Chloe Roberts (Official Organiser), Lama Rabsang, Geshe Tashi Tsering (Jamyang Buddhist Centre), Tenzin Kunga (Office of Tibet), Pempa Lobsang (Tibetan Community Chair) Pemba Bhutia (Tibetan Community Deputy Chair), etc.
